25 May 3 Tips for Moving Days
Doing common courtesies are how we all should treat each other. Before a mover arrives, your moving day could be more successful “percentage-wise” if you read our brief list below. We acknowledge that our bloggers opinions are only opinions, but short moves and long moves still require hourly wage.
• Fill Up your Gas Tank: The simpler solutions are the easiest. Your moving day will include driving home from your past life. Short moves and longer moves make little difference as hourly staff are driving behind you. A truck may drive slower on a highway, but trucks usually have a larger gas tank than most vehicles. Longer moves are usually budgeted for such a thing. Electric/Hybrid preparedness is only a consideration on Common Courtesy Day.
• Check your Oil: Dads check their oil all the time; moms are not always sure about it. The frugal side of “life strategies” are the ones whose oil usually decreases the most (with advantages). We’re here for you, but we’re not mechanics.
• Inspect your Tires: The day before your moving day is not relevant, like a “Good Morning Moving Day TIRE HAND FEEL, EYEBALL, & KICK”. Flying children and hungry workers are more important on most days. Tires could take an hour or less; thank you for preparing.
Southerners as local movers are just about qualified to drive a truck and lift a couch. Our teams at Sam’s Movers use a clipboard and do “due diligence” (per the process of the office on N Dale Mabry). When you’re in Tampa and hire Sam’s Movers, you can enjoy our “get ‘er done attitude” while watching a phone novella on the porch with tea. HOWEVER, a quick check of your vehicle is suggested before arrival of our crew. Thank you for everything.
